Weirded Outanonsocmanageron2025-05-06 I've been using calm since 2018 and was a member of the founders facebook group until I deleted my facebook account. The app literally told me to "take the leap" with a push notification while I was standing on the edge of a building. I've written in to support at least once now because it genuinely seems like there's some kind of harassment going on to try and force me to use the app more after I've taken a break due to misophonia and needing digital detoxing. The app doesn't like you taking digital detoxes. Apps that try to control my life or in any way start trying to force their way into my life get deleted, and Calm is on its way to getting deleted with the way their marketing team is handling low use. Please consider not using manipulation tactics that literally tell people to jump off buildings. Thanks.
Sadly I hate to say it but I am very unhappy with calm right now. I had been using their heavy rain noise from soundscapes for a very long time and it was working really well. However, they’ve suddenly decided to charge for the soundscapes, all of them. I only get 3 free listens for each thing, and I find that really frustrating. I wish I could just pay to have heavy rain because I really love the timer feature. I also think that 14.99 a month is a bit much, but I guess I can see why due to all the content and podcasts with good stuff etc..
Point of this all really is jsut expressing my disappointment in hopes they will reconsider, for now my sleep routine will be a very disrupted, and a longtime user with struggle, and probably drop off of calm.
CalmMicky mouse and the hot dogon2025-05-03 It really helps me calm down after a long long day of school homework and sports. I tend to get very overwhelmed and stressed out and that may be the reason I can’t fall asleep but with calm I can fall asleep in less than 5 minutes. I love how they have different sessions and how they keep a streak of how many sessions you do a day. The one thing I don’t like is that the stories that you can get read to you cost money, meaning that I would have to buy the higher pass which is cost money and it’s not free just to read a story. One last cool feature it has is that it will give you sessions to listen to based on your mood, so you will fill out a litter survey and it will give you the good sessions to listen to. But I would highly recommend.
ExceptionalMoonlightstaron2025-05-21 This app has it all. There is something for everyone—and I say that because there are tons of things on here that I haven’t even tried but I know others love them! Sleep stories for instance. I’ve used it now and again, and it definitely helped me sleep but the majority of my time with this app has been on other things. The music and the meditation are how I use this app and both are amazing. So soothing, so much variety—something for every feeling and mood. I had never really meditated before this. I had tried sitting quietly but this meditation app is really fantastic for setting my mind right and at ease. I don’t meditate religiously but at least now I can—and do—meditate. Also, the music is awesome.
Help!Hoosiermommy36on2025-05-15 I want to be able to use this app so bad in April. I downloaded it and paid for the one year however it won’t let me login when I try to. It says I already have the pre-But to login with my Apple account well, I only have one account. Then I went to try to fix it and somehow year so I have a two-year subscription to this app that I actually cannot use & I can’t find a phone number to call anyone when I emailed I received a step-by-step directions to reactivate my account which I tried to do, but it said I needed to give my Facebook account well I I never have had one. I just want to be able to use the app. So I have no idea if it’s a good app or not. Know that they’ve taken $150 from me now.
Overall good, not a free experience Usability: very easy to use, intuitive, good app with no glitches and bugs
Relaxing/calming experience: very relaxing and helpful for winding down after a long day or quieting a busy mind. Many different options for calming down like soundscapes and meditations.
Would recommend this app to: anyone who has trouble falling asleep, anxiety, relaxing, calming down, or restlessness. Or anyone who enjoys guided meditation or night/morning routine.
Cons: not a free experience!! Without purchase, there are barely any experiences available other than the soundscapes. A bit pricey for an app and extremely limited if you dont purchase premium.
It’s so great!!!AlexandraCarteron2025-05-02 I had such a hard time falling asleep and then Calm came along. My mother recommended it so I tried it out, and now I can’t sleep without it! The Calmling series is amazing, even if it’s for kids, and Tamara Levitt and Anna Acton are one of a kind! You can’t get to the end of the sleep stories, and meditations are so effective!!! There are stories and meditations by celebrities like P!nk, LeBron James, and Bob Ross, and I love that there’s a reflection tab! The new quick journal is amazing for getting rid of stress or anxiety. I could not recommend it enough!!!!!
Buyer Beware: Calm Doesn’t Deliver I paid for the premium Calm subscription back in December for the full year, but when I finally tried to use it last week, everything was locked. I tried restoring the purchase multiple times and still got nothing. It’s frustrating that they’re quick to take your money but offer no real way to get in touch with a human for help. There’s no customer service line, no support chat—just a bunch of dead ends. They’ve got my money, I got nothing in return. Lesson learned, and I hope others think twice before spending their money on this app.
Is it just me, or do many of the sleep story tellers have voices that are too excited for a sleep story? Many simply speak quickly. Or say things that are entertaining. I don’t want to be too entertained to fall asleep. I don’t want anyone that sounds wound up or excited. The best sleep stories are calming, comforting and soothing. Slowly read in calming voices. Also the volume of the voice needs to remain steady as we don’t want to wake back up to adjust it. So many great stories and readers! Thank you for this resources.
Used to love - now dislikeBilliamMattuson2025-05-13 Calm, what a beautiful app. Wonderful sounds and stories to fall asleep to. That is, if you have premium. A few years ago, I could relax with the click of a button. I got to a point where I didn’t need the app to relax anymore. Unfortunate things happened, and I redownloaded. Now, I have to either open my wallet or search through the maze of unavailable audios to find something to listen to. Majority of the time, it’s not my thing. Still love what Calm does, just disagree with the way of doing it. Thank you
